Lutheran Care Center Gets Patient Home Quickly
Charles Barone didn’t want to give up his independence and his home in Lagrange, N.Y., outside Poughkeepsie.
Yet, a broken hip from a fall last year, landed him in Lutheran Care Center at Concord Village in Poughkeepsie. From the start, the goal of the physical therapy team was to get Mr. Barone mobile enough so he could return home to his wife, Josephine.
Both in their 80s, the Barones’ son, Charles, lives overseas. It was hard to manage his dad’s care while out of the country, but Lutheran Health Care Center did all it could to make communication easy for him.
He called the care his father got at the Center, “outstanding.”
Once Mr. Barone went home, he had help from a local home health-care agency. Today, he is thriving.
Stories like Mr. Barone’s aren’t unique at Lutheran Care Center.
